Trello Embed

Overview

Assembly makes it possible to embed Trello boards directly within your client portal.

App Setup

1. Go to App Setup, and click + Add an app in the top right corner.

2. Click the Trello app to enter the App setup page. Set a title and icon that represents the app.

3. We recommend setting this up as an automatic App so that your Trello board will be visible to all clients. If you only want this App to be visible to one or more specific clients, set this as a manual App.

4. Leave the app set to as Show as embed so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.

5. Go to your Trello board and ensure it is set to public.

6. Click the ellipsis (...) to the right of the Share button, not the Share button itself.

7. Select Print, export, and share from the menu.

8. Copy the link shown under Link to this board.

9. Go back to the App Setup page and paste the copied link into the content box. 

10. Important: To allow your board to embed, add .html to the end of your board link. For example,

    https://trello.com/b/GJKr8RIP.html

To preview the app as a client, click Portal at the bottom of the sidebar and click Open portal. Once you're logged in as your test client you'll be able to view the connected app.
