Connect the Notion Partner App
Assembly makes it easy to add Notion pages as welcome pages for your clients to help with onboarding and an overview of how to use the portal.
1. Create your page in Notion, click Share at the top of your Notion page, select the Publish tab, and click Publish.
2. Click Embed this page and copy the embed code.
3. Go to App Setup in Assembly Dashboard and click + Add an app in the upper-right corner.
4. Select Notion.
5. Name your app, choose an icon, and choose the setup type. We recommend setting this up as an automatic App so that your Notion page will be visible to all clients. If you only want this App to be visible to one or more specific clients, set this as a manual App.
6. Leave the app set to Show as embed so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.
7. Go back to the App Setup page, paste the embed code into the content box, and click Save.
To preview the app as a client, click Portal at the bottom of the sidebar and click Open portal. Once you're logged in as your test client, you'll be able to view the connected app.
Note: Notion only allows view-only embeds.
