Assembly's Q2 2026 Seasonal Release is built for the firms growing up.
Some of the headline features were specifically asked for by our scaling customers — teams running compliance-sensitive work, managing high client counts, and handling tons of files. Many are available to everyone. All of them are designed to make Assembly work better at every stage of your firm's growth.
Here's what's new.
Audit Log: every action, one searchable timeline

The new Audit Log is a searchable, exportable timeline of every important action in your workspace — built for audit trails and compliance. Given the breadth of the Assembly platform, the log captures 50+ event types: login and session events for internal users and clients, plus activity across every app (payments, file-sharing, forms, tasks, etc.). See the full event list here.
For each event, you'll see:
- What happened: a human-readable label like "Contract signed" or "Invoice paid," with a direct link to the resource.
- Who did it: the internal user, client, automation, or API call that took the action.
- When and from where: timestamp in your local timezone, IP address, browser, and whether the action came from the web app, an automation, or our API.
The audit log is available for teams on Advanced plans and above.
Work with clients at scale in the CRM

For most of you, the client or company details page in your CRM is where your day actually happens. It's where you go to check in on a client, update a note, or get oriented before a call.
You can now take actions (send a form, assign a contract, create an invoice or subscription, or upload files) all directly from CRM’s client and company details page. Creation flows now open as immersive modals over the page you were already on, and when you're done, you land right back where you started. You can also preview contracts inline without leaving the CRM.
It's a small change with a big compounding effect. If your day mostly lives in the CRM, this should meaningfully cut friction — and the bigger your client roster gets, the more that friction reduction adds up.
Bulk delete and download actions in the Files App

Multi-select files to download or delete: a simple change that should save time for anyone managing a large file library or doing periodic cleanups. Note: bulk moving files as its own action is not currently available. To move files in bulk, you can bulk download, delete, and then bulk upload.
Platform improvements
The Events API, now powering more of Assembly
The new Audit Log is the first thing built on Assembly's Events API — a structured, queryable record of everything that happens in a workspace. For developers, that means you can now pull workspace activity programmatically: the List Audit Log Entries endpoint exposes the same 50+ event types you see in the UI, and you can write your own events into the timeline via customEvent.* to capture activity from your custom apps and integrations. The Events API will soon power Assembly Assistant's context awareness — so the Assistant understands what's recently happened in a workspace before it answers — and later this year, it'll drive live activity feeds on every client and company details page.
Update internal users via the API
The Internal Users API now supports PATCH, so you can update an existing teammate in place instead of deleting and recreating them. Most usefully, you can now set an internal user's client access programmatically — controlling exactly which clients and companies a teammate can see and work with, without touching the dashboard. That's the piece that makes provisioning, role changes, and offboarding fully automatable as your team scales.
Built to scale, built to last
Your firm may hit a point where what got your to the first few clients won't get you to the next dozen, fifty, hundred. Your stack starts to creak. Your team starts asking questions that take three tools to answer. Your clients start expecting more.
This release is for that moment.
For growing firms, the new contextual actions cut the friction in your daily flow so the CRM is finally as fast as your team needs it to be. For scaling teams, the audit log gives you the compliance posture that big clients now expect to see in a vendor security review.
We're building Assembly to be the platform you don't outgrow. This release is one more step in that direction.
Your clients deserve better.
