Collective CPA, an AI-native accounting and advisory firm, runs their books team in Double (formerly Keeper) and everything else in Assembly. That split created a blind spot where nobody outside the books team could see where a close stood without asking. So they described what they wanted to Assembly and got a live dashboard that mirrors Double via its API — current close status and blockers, visible to the whole team, alongside their Assembly client data. The app took less than an hour to build.

AdvertAI Marketing, an 11-person web design agency, has rebuilt much of their ops stack in Assembly — retiring five tools in the process. The standout is a Message Center founder Garrett Leonard built to run all client communication — and he's an agency owner, not a developer. It pulls client emails from Gmail into one queue alongside Assembly messages, syncs follow-ups with ClickUp due dates, and layers on the workflow their project managers actually need: message assignment, response templates, and a "suggest a reply" flow where new hires draft responses that a team lead reviews before they go out. It's the app the team lives in all day.
